Chameera looks to pull it away, but gets deceived by the lack of pace. It takes a top edge and goes straight up in the air, as Ashfra settles under it and takes an easy catch. Sri Lanka are 247/8, still needing 53 runs in 34 balls!

Goes short again and outside off. Maheesh Theekshana cuts it but straight to point.

RUN OUT CHANCE...MISSED! On a length and on off, Maheesh Theekshana pats it towards mid off and sets off for the single without even looking at his partner. Hasaranga is not interested, as he wants to keep the strike, but seeing his partner halfway through, he starts running. Naseem Shah picks up and throws it at the keeper's end with both batters out of their crease. However, Mohammad Rizwan, the keeper, is very lazy and does not come up to the stumps, and the chance goes abegging here.

Back of a length, on middle and leg. Wanindu Hasaranga pulls it down gently toward square leg to get the single. Hasaranga is trying to take the match deep into the death overs. 

Pakistan need to avoid these overthrows! Pitches it up, on off. Maheesh Theekshana pushes it wide of mid off and gets a single. The fielder has a throw towards the non-striker's end but misses the stumps. The backup fails to do his job and the batter takes another run.

FOUR! Up and over! Wanindu Hasaranga is changing his gears now! Faheem Ashraf scoots from over the stumps and bowls it fuller, just outside off. Hasaranga uses his bottom hand to punch it uppishly, over the mid off fielder for four more runs. 38 runs needed off 23 deliveries.

Excellent fielding! Much fuller, wide outside off. Wanindu Hasaranga crouches low to steer it wide of the point fielder, but Saim Ayub does exceptionally well to tumble toward his left to make a stop. Only a single from the delivery. 

Good-length delivery, on the stumps, absolutely no pace at it. Maheesh Theekshana punches it toward long on for a single. 

Back of a length outside off. Wanindu Hasaranga punches it to the left of the sweeper cover for a single. 

In the air... drops safely! Slower and back of a length on off. Maheesh Theekshana looks to go big but catches hits it from the upper part of the willow. The ball loops and drops in the no man's land in the mid on region, as the fielder is stationed long. Single taken. 

FOUR! FIFTY FOR HASARANGA!. This is exceptional batting! Short of a length, wide outside off. Wanindu Hasaranga goes deep into the crease and opens the face of his willow to steer it toward the left of the point fielder for four more runs. Hasaranga is keeping Lanka alive in this chase.

Short, just outside off. Maheesh Theekshana pulls it to mid off and gets a single. 

FOUR! Cheeky from Hasaranga! Good-length delivery, with width to offer, outside off. Wanindu Hasaranga rolls his wrist to slice it toward the right of the short third fielder for a boundary. 26 runs needed off 15 deliveries! 

Short of a length, around the hips of the batter. Wanindu Hasaranga tucks it toward right of the deep sqaure leg and gets the brace. 

Fullish, on leg. Wanindu Hasaranga flicks it to mid-wicket, shouts for two but gets the single. 

Haris Rauf bends his back to bowl a bouncer around the shoulder of the batter. Maheesh Theekshana ducks underneath the delivery. 

Swing and a miss! All Wanindu Hasaranga can do is smile, cause if the ball would hit the bat, it was surely a biggie! Pitches it up, outside off, around sixth stump. Wanindu Hasaranga looks to slog it away but gets beaten on the outside edge. 

On a length, just outside off. Wanindu Hasaranga punches it to beat the diving cover fielder to his left, but the sweeper cover fielder does well to cover. A brace in between the sticks. 

Naseem Shah sees the batter to make some room. He follows the batter and bowls it down the leg side. Wanindu Hasaranga looks to jam away but gets beaten.  

OUT! IN THE AIR... TAKEN! Naseem Shah gets the most crucial wicket in the death overs! This is not the best of the deliveries, as Naseem offers a high full toss, on middle. Wanindu Hasaranga looks to take on the delivery as he lofts it uppishly to go downtown but misses to match the timing. The ball flies toward the left of the long on fielder, and Babar Azam does the job to scoop the catch safely into his palm. Hasaranga is disappointed, as he knows he was the last hope for his side. He walks back for 59 off 52, and Sri Lanka still need 21 runs in 14 balls.

On a length, just outside off. Asitha Fernando tries to heave it across but underedges the delivery. The ball just misses the off stump and goes rolling to the keeper. 

Excellent yorker, on the stumps. Asitha Fernando jams it back to the bowler. 

On a length on off and middle. Maheesh Theekshana mistimes his heave across the line toward to square leg. 

Slower short of a length, well wide outside off. Maheesh Theekshana looks to go big but misses. 

WIDE! Goes fuller but way, way outside off, Maheesh Theekshana steps across to slog it but fails to reach it. Called a wide.

WiIDE! Similar delivery! Pitched up and outside off, not inside the guideline. Maheesh Theekshana moves across again but misses it. Wided again. Talat is not happy with the call. 17 needed in 4 balls!

FOUR! 13 needed of three balls with the boundary! Good-length delivery, on off and middle. Maheesh Theekshana opens his stance and muscles it toward the right of the diving long on fielder to get four more runs. 

FOUR! 9 required off the last two deliveries! Two boundaries and we will go into a super over! Full-length delivery outside off. Maheesh Theekshana swings his willow and gets the outer edge. The ball zips between the gap of the backward point and the short third fielders for another boundary. 

Excellent bowling from Hussain Talat! He bowls it fuller, just outside off. Maheesh Theekshana shuffles across the stumps to scoop it away but misses to have any connection on his blade, and it thumps his pad. Not sure why he chose this option, as he was hitting it straight nicely. It's Pakistan's game now, barring any extras.

Not the ending Sri Lanka hoped to get, but kudos to the lower middle order for staying in the game! A slower delivery to end the inning, on middle. Maheesh Theekshana punches it hard just toward the right of the bowler. Talat looks to hop and take the catch but fails to get any hands on it. The ball rolls toward long on and the batter gets a brace. Pakistan win the encounter by 6 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the series.
