On a length and on middle. Romario Shepherd looks to pull but gets cramped for room and will only get a single as it rolls to mid-wicket. 

Fuller ball, in the slot on off. Smith lost his shape as he swings across and it rolls to long on for a single. 24 needed now.

SIX! BANG! There is the first one! On a length and on middle. Romario Shepherd clears his front leg and thumps it over long on for a biggie. 

Just two! A slower ball, length and on off. Romario Shepherd again swings across but gets a top egde and over short third man. Lockie Ferguson runs back and does ever so well to keep the ball away from the ropes. Two runs.

James Neesham with some brilliant fielding! Saved his team five runs! Pitched up, on off. Romario Shepherd swings his blade and connected it well. It goes to deep mid-wicket where James Neesham stands at the edge of the ropes and times his jump to pull it back inside the ground. Terrific from James Neesham.

Tim Southee bowls this full and in line with the stumps, Odean Smith works this towards mid-wicket for a single. New Zealand have won this game by 13 runs and go 1-0 up in the series. 

On a good length and outside off, Romario Shepherd slaps this wide of long on. Mitchell Santner slides and stops the boundary. They get a single. 

FOUR! This one reaches the boundary! Another attempted yorker not finding the mark as this is a full toss outside off, Odean Smith thumps this towards deep cover for a boundary.

Short ball outside off bowled slower in the air, Odean Smith looks to pull but gets beaten by the pace. 

SIX! West Indies are going down fighting! Lockie Ferguson  bangs this in short and angling into the batter, Odean Smith pulls this wide of deep square leg and deposits this onto the roof! 

A length ball, outside off. Odean Smith slashes at it but misses. He gets a thick outside edge over backward point but Ish Sodhi does well to track back and keep it down to two.

FOUR! West Indies still have a small chance! Too full and outside off. Smith powers it through covers and the long off fielder runs across but fails to stop it. 

SIX! This has been dismissed! Trent Boult serves this a fraction short and outside off, Romario Shepherd swings his arms and hits this straight back over the sight screen for a biggie! 

FOUR! This one has edged but gets West Indies another boundary! Trent Boult attempts a yorker but serves a full toss instead. Romario Shepherd swings and gets a thick outside edge that flies to the thrd man fence for a boundary. 

This is full on middle, Romario Shepherd heaves leg side and gets an inside edge towards deep sqaure leg for a brace. 

Slower delivery bowled a fraction short and outside off, Romario Shepherd shapes up for a pull and leaves it at the last moment.

SIX! This is proving to be a massive over! Trent Boult goes full and wide outside the off pole. Romario Shepherd reaches for it and swings, loses balance but manages to clear the long off fence by a distance! What hitting from Romario Shepherd!

FOUR! Odean Smith gets off the mark with a boundary! Lockie Ferguson serves this full and outside off, Odean Smith has room to swing his arms and hits this over the mid off fielder. The ball runs to the long off fence for a boundary.

OUT! CAUGHT! Another one bites the dust! Trent Boult bangs this one in short and outside off, Jason Holder goes for the pull and does not time this at all. Sodhi serves it full and way outside off, slows it up. Powell gets on his knee and tries to slog-sweep it but gets a top edge and goes high over point. James Neesham tracks back and has to cover a lot of ground. He keeps his eyes on the ball and takes a superb tumbling catch. 

Around off, pushed through covers for a single.

Tossed up, outside off. Romario Shepherd pushes it to covers. Good stop here. West Indies need 78 more runs in 30 balls. 

SIX! That is powered away! A length ball, outside off. Powell sees the ball is in his arc and pulls it over square leg for a biggie. 

A slower one on a length and on off. Powell tries to nudge it away but gets a leading edge to point for one. 

Around off, tucked to mid-wicket. Jason Holder called for two runs but Powell denied the second wisely.

OUT! TAKEN! Shamarh Brooks struggling innings comes to an end! Santner serves it short and around off, it holds onto the surface. Brooks looks to pull but mistimes it to long on where Daryl Mitchell runs forward and kneels to take it. 

Wide! Angles one down the leg side. Powell misses his flick. Mitchell Santner was interested for a while there.

SIX! Ish Sodhi bowls a full toss and it gets the full treatment! Flights this one and Shamarh Brooks catches the ball well to deposit this over the long on fence for a maximum! West Indies need many more of these.

Excellent review from Brooks! Sodhi serves it short and angling around leg but the ball doesn't bounce at all and hits Brooks low on the front pad as he was shaping for a big heave across the line. A huge appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Brooks reviews it. He looks confident. No bat there. Ball Tracking shows wickets missing.

OUT! CAUGHT! West Indies are digging themselves in a ditch here! Mitchell Santner flights this full outside off, Shimron Hetmyer goes for the lofted sweep but does not get a hold of it. James Neesham at deep backward square leg is perfectly positioned to pouch this. West Indies seem to be losing their way here. Mitchell Santner has his second.

OUT! CAUGHT! Just like that West Indies have lost their third! Lockie Ferguson strikes with his first delivery. He bowls this a fraction short and outside off, Devon Thomas looks to pull this and gets a top edge that flies towards fine leg. Ish Sodhi at short fine leg runs back and takes an easy catch. West Indies have been playing around with their batting lineup and it does not seem to be working for them.

Back-of-a-length delivery outside off, Shamarh Brooks works this towards point and looks for a single. There is a dive and a stop and Shimron Hetmyer sends him back. The throw is probably at the wrong end as Shamarh Brooks was the one who was in trouble. 

A fraction short once again and angles into the stumps, Shamarh Brooks looks to pull and misses. The ball rolls off the thigh pad towards short fine leg as they take a leg bye.

Serves this on a good length and just outside off. Really quick and gets the outside edge of Shimron Hetmyer's bat as it runs away towards third man for a single. 

WIDE! Lockie Ferguson bowls this on a good length but straying down leg, Shamarh Brooks looks to work this fine and misses. Is called wide by the umpire. 

WIDE! Shorter and bowled down leg once again. The umpire indicates it is wide once again. 

Dropped! But that was an amazing effort from Ish Sodhi! Lockie Ferguson bangs this in a fraction short and angling down leg. Shamarh Brooks pulls this to the left of short fine leg. Ish Sodhi put his hand out while diving and manages to stop the ball that looked like it had gone past him. He can not hold on to it but has definitely saved a certain boundary. 

OUT! CAUGHT! Pooran will not be happy with this one! It was clearly there to be hit but the extra bounce doesn't help him! Shorter and outside off. Pooran clears his front leg and looks to pull but it goes slightly from the higher part of the blade and to deep mid-wicket where Glenn Phillips comes forward and takes it. Good start by Mitchell Santner. 

Slightly shorter again on middle. Brooks works it to square leg.

Angles a length ball on middle, eased down to long on for a single.

Tossed up on middle, nudged to square leg.

Tossed up, on the pads. Thomas tickles it to short fine leg for a quick single.

On off, defended out on the deck.

SIX! Lovely pick up shot! On a length and outside off. Pooran hits it flat to long on and it lands right on the ropes for a six.

FOUR MORE! Too straight this time on the pads. Pooran just helps it away over short fine leg for a boundary.

On middle. Pooran punches it to mid on and takes a quick single.

Short of a length and on off, pulled past mid-wicket for a couple of runs.

SIX! BANG! On a length and on middle. Brooks steps across and heaves it high over deep square leg for a biggie. 

On a length and outside off, slower ball. Brooks looks to push with soft hands but misses.

Wide! A length ball, down the leg side, gets to swing more away. Mayers looks to pull but misses.

Leg bye! Length ball on middle and swinging on the pads. Mayers looks to flick but gets squared up and gets hit on the pads. An appeal but that was going down. A leg bye.

OUT! LBW! Mayers goes! Sharp movement for Southee and he gets his reward. This is full and around middle and leg, it lands and swings back into the left-hander. Kyle Mayers is too late as he tries to flick but misses and gets rapped on the pads. An appeal for LBW and up goes the finger. Mayers reviews it though. No bat there. Ball Tracking shows it is umpire's call on wickets hitting. 

FOUR! Another inswinger but this is slightly full and on off. Pooran punches it as he shows the full face of the bat, towards mid off for a boundary.

Too full and on off, it is hit to covers.

Trent Boult begins with a back-of-a-length delivery angled into the batter, Kyle Mayers pulls the ball towards deep backward square leg for a single.

Trent Boult serves this fuller and outside off, Shamarh Brooks hits this straight over the bowler's head. Trent Boult gets a hand to it and the ball runs past the mid off fielder. Good work from Tim Southee as he gives chase and stops the ball to restrict the batters to a brace.

FOUR! This has been out away! Trent Boult pulls his length back once again and serves this outside off, Shamarh Brooks gets on his toes and cuts this past the point fielder. The ball races away to the deep point fence and West Indies get their first boundary.

FOUR! Second boundary of the over! Shamarh Brooks goes really full and in line with the stumps, Shamarh Brooks uses his wrists and flicks this uppishly to the left of the divind mid-wicket fielder. He does not get to it and runs away to the deep mid-wicket fence for four more runs.
