'Worst shot of his career to get out...': Ex-India cricketer brutally slams Virat Kohli on his poor outing in Pune Test

Former India captain Virat Kohli failed to perform in the first inning of the second Test match against New Zealand at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. He managed to score just one run. The star batter got out on a lower full-shot delivery by Mitchell Santner. Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar slammed Kohli for his poor shot selection. 

Manjrekar took his 'X' formerly known as Twitter to slam India's modern-day great for his shot selection. He reckoned that this is the worst shot of Kohli to get out. 

"Oh dear! Virat will know himself that he has just played the worst shot of his career to get out. Got to feel for him…coz as always he came out with solid & honest intent" wrote Manjrekar. 

 

Coming back to the match, Mitchell Santner's seven-wicket haul helped New Zealand to bundle out India on just 153 runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma who got out on a duck.  India started the opening session at 16/1, with Shubman Gill (10*) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (6*) unbeaten. At the end of the first session, India was 107/7, with Ravindra Jadeja (11*) and Washington Sundar (2*) unbeaten. Ravindra Jadeja was the highest run-getter for India he scored 38 runs. 

Earlier, India's Washington Sundar was the highest wicket-taker for India he picked up a seven-wicket haul and Ravichandran Ashwin picked three to bundle out New Zealand on 259 runs.
