Babar Azam-led Pakistan is preparing to compete against Michael Bracewell's New Zealand in the second T20I of the five-match series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, on April 20. The first match of the series was washed out due to heavy and constant rain. Now the Rawalpindi weather forecast is also predicting rain and bad weather on Saturday and this can potentially spoil the match proceedings of the 2nd T20I.
Rawalpindi Weather forecast
Rawalpindi weather forecast predicts rain and thunderstorms on April 20. It also tends to stay cloudy throughout the day. The report from AccuWeather predicts 60 per cent rain chances. However, the good news is that the rain prediction is there mostly for the daytime. There is hardly any chance of rain at night despite it staying cloudy.
If the reports turn out right, the weather won't be playing a massive role during the match time. The series has already lost one match due to this and fans are praying that it doesn't play spoilsport again.
There is also a lot of buzz around the return of Mohammad Amir, who made his much-awaited return to the side after ending his retirement decision. He didn't get the chance to bowl in the first T20I but will be waiting for his opportunity in the second one. He plans on being part of the Pakistan squad that will go to the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. He along with the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah will only strengthen the Men in Green's bowling line-up.
