In the 25th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, a bizarre moment left onlookers surprised. The incident occurred during the third over of Quetta's run chase when Martin Guptill handed a simple caught-and-bowled opportunity to Wahab Riaz. The Pakistan pacer didn't make any mistakes and completed an easy catch but his actions after that went viral on social media.

Wahab put his arms around Guptill's shoulders before pulling New Zealand's batter head and landing a kiss. The two players then exchanged a few words but it was all in good spirits.

Meanwhile, Jason Roy played an all-time great T20 innings as he whacked a record century to help Quetta chase down a mammoth 241-run target against Peshawar on Wednesday (March 9). Roy struck the highest score in PSL history to propel Quetta to the highest successful run-chase in PSL history as his team won the match by eight wickets. Peshawar skipper Babar Azam to0 cracked an incredible ton but his efforts were dampened by the English star opener Roy.

In his towering 63-ball 145-run knock, Roy smashed 20 fours and five sixes on his way to the three-figure score, playing a key role in the fourth biggest successful chase in all T20s and the second-highest in domestic T20s.

Peshawar elected to bat after winning the toss and Pakistan’s Babar Azam hit 115 from 65 balls, with healthy contributions from Rovman Powell (35 off 18) and Saim Ayub (74 off 34) helping put 240 on the scoreboard.

But Roy’s intention was clear from the outset as he slapped a four from the very first ball, and the rest of the innings followed suit as he smashed the previous highest score in PSL history of 127, set by Colin Ingram in 2019.

More records were broken as his 230 strike rate at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium helped clinch the highest successful chase in PSL history as they chased down the mammoth 241 with 10 balls to spare.
