Legendary England seamer James Anderson is a part of the Manchester Originals squad in the ongoing edition of The Hundred. He has so far played three matches for the side in the tournament and is likely to feature in their upcoming games as well.
Anderson racked up two wickets in the Originals' latest match against the Northern Superchargers once again proving that age is just a number for him. He dismissed both Dawid Malan and Dan Lawrence, finishing his 20-delivery spell with figures of 2/30.
The two wickets that Anderson took against the Surperchargers saw him become the oldest England bowler to clinch a scalp in The Hundred. Additionally, the 43-year-old also became the second-oldest bowler to take a wicket in the competition.

Anderson's brilliant spell helped the Originals in restricting the Superchargers to 139/8 after the end of 100 deliveries. In reply, Jos Buttler played a stellar knock of 70 and was assisted well by Rachin Ravindra with his unbeaten inning of 47 as the Manchester-based franchise recorded a convincing 7-wicket victory.
Meanwhile, Anderson is nothing short of legend of the game. He is the third-highest wicket-taker in international cricket with a total of 991 scalps under his belt. The 43-year-old retired from all forms of international cricket in July, 2024 after featuring for England in a Test against the West Indies.
