Deepak Chougule is a right-hand batsman from Karnataka and has played for the state at the Under-19 level. On his debut against Goa, he scored 400 runs in a single day which is a junior world record. After having bagged the Border-Gavaskar scholarship from the National Cricket Academy, he was sent to Australia for further training. He has also represented India at the U-19 Cricket World Cup of 2002 held in New Zealand.
Chougule was signed by the newly formed franchise of Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the 2011 IPL.
