12th Fail movie's director's Vidhu Vinod Chopra's son Agni Chopra's century spree in the Ranji Trophy continued in the match between Mizoram and Meghalaya on January 26. Agni Chopra recorded his fifth straight hundred in the ongoing season of the Ranji Trophy. The 25-year-old went on to score 101 off 71 balls riding on 16 fours and a six to help Mizoram post 170/5 as of 44.5 overs.

 

This was Agni's second century in the match as he belted 105 in the first innings.

To date, Agni Chopra has accumulated a total of 767 runs in just eight innings. Agni's rapid rise in domestic cricket and his consistent performances suggest that he is a player to watch out for in the future, as he continues to establish himself as a formidable batter in the Indian cricketing landscape.

 

Agni Chopra's debut in the Ranji Trophy was equally remarkable. In his first match against Sikkim, he scored a stunning 166 and 92 runs. However, despite his outstanding performance, Mizoram couldn't secure a win. Undeterred, Agni continued his impressive form into the second match against Nagaland, where he scored 164 runs in the first innings and added 15 in the second. In the next match against Arunachal Pradesh, Agni breathed fire against and whacked 114 runs.

Initially playing for Mumbai, Agni did not get opportunities at the senior level, leading him to shift to Mizoram this season. He made his debut in List A and T20 cricket from Mizoram. In the List A Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored 174 runs in seven matches at an average of 24.85, including one half-century. However, he performed better in the T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring 234 runs in seven matches at an average of 33.42 and a strike rate of 150.96, notching up two half-centuries.
