Star Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne is known for his impeccable batting and strange antics on the field. On many occasions the right-handed batter has been spotted talking to himself, gesticulating towards his teammate or dressing room and 'doing weird stuff' on the ground. During the opening day of the third Test match between Australia and South Africa, Labuschagne once again sent social media in overdrive asking for a lighter with a smoking gesture towards the dressing room.

The commentators on air couldn't stop but laugh at the Aussie batter's gesture as he got his demand answered. Upon receiving the light, Labuschagne burnt the insides of his helmet which seemed to be bothering the stylish batter.

Meanwhile, the Baggy Greens captain Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bat first in the Sydney Test. Anrich Nortje struck in the fourth over of the match and dismissed dangerous David Warner for just 10 runs to give South Africa a perfect start. From thereon, Usman Khawaja and Labuschagne combined for a 126-run stand before bad light forced players to walk off the field.

Both Khawaja and Labuschagne smashed half-centuries to take Australia's total to 138/1 after 43 overs. The left-handed opening batter was unbeaten on 51 runs off 119 balls while the stylish right-handed batter Labuschagne was unbeaten on 73 runs off 129 balls.

The Baggy Greens have already secured the series by taking an unassailable 2-0 lead after winning the Boxing Day Test. The Proteas are gunning to salvage pride and keep their World Test Championship final hopes alive.
