South Africa have revealed their T20I and ODI squads for India tour

South Africa will play a three-match ODI and 5-match T20I series against India

South Africa have announced their full-strength squads for their upcoming white-ball tour of India, which is scheduled to kick off from November 30 to December 19, 2025. The tour features two crucial series ahead of next year's T20 World Cup in India. Temba Bavuma will lead the Proteas pack in the three-match ODI series, while Aiden Markram is set to return and captain the T20I side.

Notably, the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa is slated to run between November 30 and December 6 across Ranchi, Raipur, and Visakhapatnam. A notable inclusion in the squad is North West batter Rubin Hermann, who recently made his ODI debut against Pakistan earlier this month.

South Africa's ODI squad for India series:

Temba Bavuma, Ottniel Baartman, Corbin Bosch, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brevis, Nandre Burger, Quinton de Kock, Tony de Zorzi, Rubin Hermann, Marco Jansen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Ryan Rickelton, Prenelan Subrayen

Meanwhile, Aiden Markram will take charge of the South African side for the five-match T20I series against India, which is scheduled to run from December 9 to 19. This series carries significant importance for the Proteas, offering a vital chance to solidify their squad and refine their combination ahead of the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Markram’s leadership will be pivotal, especially with the return of key players such as fast bowler Anrich Nortje. Nortje, who was sidelined from previous T20I tours due to injury, makes a welcome return to the squad after May 29, 2024. His inclusion provides South Africa with an experienced and potent fast-bowling option, which will be crucial as the team looks to execute and refine their T20 plans in the competitive conditions found in India.

But one important name in Kagiso Rabada remained missing from both the squads as he has been ruled out of the entire tour due to injury.
