Wriddhiman Saha has finally made a stance on the journalist row and has sent a detailed report to the BCCI after the latter's intervention on the matter.

In an exclusive interview with Sports Tak, Saha talked at length and has given a full account of the journo saga where the wicketkeeper batter was threatened and insulted for refusing to give an interview.

"I have heard that such things happen with youngsters, not necessarily this particular man, but these incidents happen. My next step of action will be on how things take place. The second tweet clearly shows that the guy has not apologised. BCCI supported me and asked me for the name, I have not told them the name so far. I have mailed them the entire story. Giving the person to think on what he has done and if has any regret, if he does change, then I have to think. Had he apologised I would not have tweeted the second time. My parents have taught me to respect every one and not humiliate people," Saha told Sports Tak.

Saha was dropped from India's Test squad for the upcoming Sri Lanka home series and right after that he took to twitter and and shared a screenshot of the chat he had with a journalist who happened to pester the player for refusing to give interview. Saha also wrote a tweet post which things just didn't stop for him. The tweet read, “After all of my contributions to Indian cricket…this is what I face from a so called “Respected” journalist! This is where the journalism has gone.”

Recounting the incident, Saha said that he has never misbehaved with any journalist or with anyone.

“I have never misbehaved with any journalist or normal folk after playing so many years. I didn't like the way he wrote the text. It happened once, then after a while it happened, I have tweeted,” he said.

“He wanted a zoom call, I did not want to do that at that time. He had called, IPL auction was happening and I missed the call. I did not like the text. He knows what he thought while writing. The message speaks volumes that I didn't do a right thing by not giving the interview. I wanted to tell people that such things happen. Some people need to think twice before harassing people. There should be a proper way of everything. My motive was not to create a controversy but to tell my story,” the 37-year-old said.

On being dropped from Test squad

"Was told in South Africa, that I will not be considered for the next tour. Rahul Dravid and Chetan Sharma told me. Was never told I will be taken.

Had asked what was the issue, they said they want a new face. I have not spoken to Sourav Ganguly on these issues yet. Last we spoke was after Kanpur Test," Saha said.
