England head into Pune T20I with a win
Ahead of the fourth T20I, which is set for Friday, January 31 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, India lead the five-match series 2-1. The first two matches in Chennai and Kolkata were won by the Men in Blue. But in the third match, which was played in Rajkot, England pulled off an incredible comeback.
Ben Duckett's half-century (51 off 28) helped the Three Lions, who batted first, to 171/9 in 20 overs. India's Varun Chakravarthy (5/24) continued to dominate against England's batters as he claimed his second five-wicket haul. India's chase in response never got off the ground as they were unable to reach 145/9 in their 20 overs and continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Consequently, England achieved their first series triumph, winning the match by 26 runs. The team captained by Jos Buttler will be keen to extend their winning streak in the fourth Twenty20 International after making a strong recovery in the series.
