The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally announced the complete schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. It has been officially revealed that the prestigious cricket grounds across England and Wales will host 24 days of exciting international matches. The Women's T20 World Cup 2026 is set to kick off from June 12 at Edgbaston, where England will face off against Sri Lanka. This opening game will mark the start of a thrilling month of world-class T20 cricket, featuring 12 teams all vying for the coveted trophy, which is currently held by New Zealand.
ICC reveals Women's T20 World Cup 2026 schedule
Fans will get to witness the captivating encounters, including clashes between powerhouse nations such as Australia and South Africa, India and Pakistan, and New Zealand and the West Indies. The semi-finals and the final match have already been confirmed to take place in London, at the iconic venues of The Oval and Lord’s respectively. Moreover, Headingley, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Bristol County Ground, and the Hampshire Bowl will also stage the high-octane Women's T20 World Cup 2026 matches. The upcoming competition will be larger than ever, with 12 teams competing in England and Wales in 2026. Eight nations have already secured their spots, and the final four participants will emerge from the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier, which will be held next year. England and Wales were granted the hosting rights for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 back in 2022, and the seven host venues were subsequently selected after a thorough evaluation process based on various criteria.
All eyes will be on India versus Pakistan which will be held on Edgbaston on June 14.
