ManavRachna Corporate Cricket Challenge Cup: JCB beat Hero Motocorp India Ltd in final to clinch title

The 16th edition of the ManavRachna Corporate Cricket Challenge Cup came to a grand close as JCB won the final match against Hero Motocorp India Ltd. The Closing Ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Mr. Madan Lal, Former Indian Test Cricketer as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Vikrant Gupta, Senior Executive Editor Sports (AajTak) & Managing Editor (Sports Tak) as the Guest of Honour.
Dr. Prashant Bhalla - President, MREI; Dr. Amit Bhalla, Vice President, MREI; Dr. NC Wadhwa, DG, MREI; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava - MD, MREI; Lt. General RK Anand, DG, MRIIRS; Mr. Sarkar Talwar - Director, Sports, MREI and other senior dignitaries from ManavRachna were present during the final match.
Hero Motocorp won the toss and elected to field first. JCB scored 239 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Hero Motocorp Team scored 219 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. 
JCB won the match with Mr. Varun Sharma from JCB winning the title of ‘Man of the Match’, Mr. Kashif from AajTak team was awarded as the Best Batsman of the tournament, Mr. Karan Sobti from team MREI became the best bowler of the tournament, Mr. Rahul Dahiya from Hero Motocorp was declared the Best Fielder of the tournament.

Mr Madan Lal shared his excitement about the ManavRachna Cricket Challenge Cup and talked about the nail-bitting match at length.

“Such tournaments help corporate people unwind themselves and learn new skills from each other and from the cricket ground,” said former India cricketer. 
Mr. Vikrant Gupta shared the essence of cricket and expressed his delight at being the Guest of Honour at the grand finale of the tournament in which he himself participated (AajTak team).
“Our Founder Visionary, Dr OP Bhalla had the dream to keep the spirit of sportsmanship alive and the corporate cricket challenge was his way of doing the same that has been continued since the last 16 years! We are proud that his vision is instilled in us with all its might and excitement”, shared Dr Prashant Bhalla.
24 leading corporate teams from Delhi-NCR competed for the cup viz. Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (Gurgaon), JCB India Ltd (Ballabgarh), Escorts Construction & Equipment Ltd (Ballabgarh), Honda Car India Ltd (Greater Noida), Tata Consultancy Service (Noida), Hero Motocorp India Ltd (Gurgaon), Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Ltd (Gurgaon), Wave Infratech (Noida), SEC – RJMT Engineering (Faridabad), Sarvodaya Hospital (Faridabad), Knorr-Bremse (Palwal), Fortis Hospital (Faridabad), Action Construction Equipment Ltd (Faridabad), Accord Hospital (Greater Faridabad), Media XI (Delhi), ManavRachna Educational Institutions (Faridabad), Gates India Pvt Ltd (Gurgaon), NHAI (Delhi), AajTak (Delhi), Indian Oil R&D (Faridabad), Capgemini India (Gurgaon), Sony India Ltd (Delhi), Jagran Group (Noida), and BEN & GAWS (Delhi).
A total of 55 matches were played amongst the participants from January to March 2023.
