Former India captain Virat Kohli is one of the most followed cricketers around the world because of his achievements in-game and his dedication towards the sport. Kohli who has made his comeback in the Ranji Trophy match after more than a decade was welcomed by a huge number of fans at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi where he is featuring for Delhi in a match against Railways.
Almost 15,000 fans welcomed Kohli as he made his comeback in his home ground for his state team after 2012. However, fans' excitement ended when Railways bowler Ayush Sangwan picked up his wicket on day 2 when he was playing on just six runs. Kohli showed a glimpse of his brilliance with a beautiful straight drive off Sangwan just a ball before his dismissal.

The fans were so disappointed that they left the stadium soon after Kohli's wicket and started abusing Ayush Sangwan for picking their favourite batter's wicket. However, Kohli's fan army unknowingly trolled another user who later shared a story saying that he is not Himanshu who plays cricket (Bhaiyo mein wo cricket wala Himanshu Sangwan nahi hoon) posted that user.
However, there remains a chance for redemption--should Delhi get a second innings, Kohli will have another opportunity to make his mark.
After finishing the Ranji Trophy match, Kohli will join Rohit Sharma-led India squad for the three-match ODI series against England which is scheduled to start from February 6. After finishing the white ball series both India and England will feature in the Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to start from February 19. Team India will start their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh in Dubai and England will face their Ashes rivals Australia in Pakistan.
