Months after declaring that he and MS Dhoni do not communicate, former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was recently seen with the cricketer at a party. Harbhajan famously stated in December 2024 that he had not spoken to his old captain in ten years. Additionally, he disclosed that he had last spoken with Dhoni while he was a member of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League.

However, a video showing the two of them visiting a party together has been making the rounds lately. In the video, Dhoni is seen talking to Harbhajan for a little while and even assisting him in pulling a chair. Fans are perplexed by the viral video because Harbhajan has always stated that he and Dhoni did not share a friendly relationship. On the other hand, their connection appears entirely different when they are seen together at a party.

A significant portion of Harbhajan's international career was spent with Dhoni, as the two played an incredible 212 games together in all three forms. Along with playing 133 games under Dhoni's captaincy, he was a vital part of India's successful campaigns in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup.

In addition, Harbhajan played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) under Dhoni's captaincy in consecutive seasons in 2018 and 2019, meaning they shared the field multiple times throughout the IPL. The off-spinner, who took 16 wickets at an average of 19.50 from 11 games in the 2019 season, was crucial to Chennai's run to the final.

In addition to Harbhajan, Yuvraj Singh, a former India teammate of Dhoni, has publicly stated in an interview that he is not close friends with the former wicketkeeper batter. On the field, Dhoni and Yuvraj were well-known for their friendship, as the two formed a number of unforgettable partnerships that contributed to India's victories. In the meantime, Dhoni, who was signed by CSK for Rs 4 crore as an uncapped player, will be back in the IPL for the next season.
