Pat Cummins' Australia are slated to play their first Test in New Zealand after a hiatus of eight long years. Cricket Australia (CA) and New Zealand Cricket (NZC) confirmed that Australia will be touring to New Zealand next year for the Trans-Tasman rivalry which will see a three-match T20I series followed by a two-match Test contest from February 21, 2024 to March 12, 2024.

Tim Southee-led Kiwis will host the first Test in Wellington on February 29 while the second tie will be played from March 8 in Christchurch.

Schedule for Australia's tour of New Zealand 2024

1st T20I: Wellington, February 21

2nd T20I: Auckland, February 23

3rd T20I: Auckland, February 25

1st Test: Wellington, February 29-March 4

2nd Test: Christchurch, March 8-March 12

New Zealand were handed a 0-3 drubbing from Australia in the last Test series which they played back in 2019-2020. Australia also clean swept Kiwis 2-0 when they last played a Test series on the New Zealand soil in 2016. Notably, the now England coach Brendon McCullum was the New Zealand skipper and Adam Voges was Australia's top run getter and Jackson Bird opened the bowling the last time Australia played Test cricket on New Zealand soil. It also happened to be the last Test series for McCullum, who broke the record of the fastest Test hundred in his last match.
