Rinku Singh was not a household name despite being a part of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) squad since 2018. Rinku did not get enough chances to prove his mettle in the presence of big stars in the middle-order. The Aligarh-born batter had his moment in the sun when he smashed Gujarat Titans (GT) Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes in the last over to win the match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. KKR failed to make it to IPL 2023 playoffs but Rinku Singh earned T20I callup on the basis of a stellar run in the season. The 26-year-old has scored 356 runs from 11 T20I innings at an average of 89 including two fifties. His strike rate is an astounding 176.23. In IPL 2024, Rinku did not have a good season with the bat but KKR went on the win the title.  

 

Rinku’s story is that of an underdog. His father used to deliver gas cylinders. Now, Rinku is in fray to get selected in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad. The ever-so-humble Rinku has become a popular name. His sister Neha Singh has also benefitted from his success and has over lakhs of followers on her Instagram profile.

Rinku’s sister Neha is very active on social media. She has done MA in English and posts photos of her regularly on social media. She is an influencer on social media and earns from brand endorsements. Like Rinku, she supports her family too.

While Rinku has 3.2 million followers on Instagram, his sister has five lakh 24 thousand followers. She can be seen in the stands during KKR’s games and regularly posts photos with her family. She posted photos team owner Shah Rukh Khan, mentor Gautam Gambhir and players like Andre Russell, Nitish Rana that went viral.

 

During KKR’s match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), she watched the match with her parents. She posted videos of Shah Rukh. Recently, she posted a video of Rinku’s celebration after he achieved the off-the-field milestone of three million followers on Instagram.
