India's star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for his recovery after suffering multiple injuries in a horrific car crash last year, interacted with the Under-16 players in the academy. In the pictures shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on its Twitter handle, Pant can be seen passionately addressing the youngsters while also posing for pictures.

"The boys who are part of the Under-16 high performance camp at NCA Bangalore had the opportunity to interact with Rishabh Pant on cricket, life, hard work and much much more. It was very generous of @RishabhPant17 to spare time for interacting with these young boys," the Indian cricket board said in a Tweet.

On Friday (May 5), Pant gave his fans a real treat as he apprised the world about his major step towards his recovery. Pant took to Instagram to provide his fitness update in a video in which he can be seen throwing away his crutches and walking on his own for the first time since his freak accident.

In the video, the 25-year-old took some steps with the support of crutches and then threw away his crutches to an NCA staff and started taking strides without any support.

Pant was the victim of a major road accident on December 30, 2022, when he was travelling from Delhi to Roorkee. His car hit a divider at the Narsan border, leading to serious injuries to the Indian cricketer. The accident occurred around 5:15 am on December 30 and Pant was rushed to Saksham Hospital in Roorkee. The Indian cricketer was then referred to Max Super Speciality Hospital in Dehradun. Since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries as doubts were raised on whether he would even be able to make a return to competitive cricket after his accident.

Pant getting back to NCA for rehab is a massive boost for him personally and Team India as well. Pant has been posting his recovery updates on his social media handle. Apart from attending DC's match recently, Pant also went to meet his fellow teammates in Bengaluru ahead of their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) last week.
