After putting up a show in the just concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) for Chennai Super Kings, Ruturaj Gaikwad continues his batting heroics in the ongoing Maharashtra Premier League. Gaikwad was leading the Puneri Bappa's batting charge in the match against Kolhapur Tuskers. Batting first Tuskers rode on Ankit Bawne's 57-ball 72 to post 144/7 on the board. In reply, Puneri opener Ruturaj and Pawan Shah walked in the middle to kick off the chase.

Both the batters belted brilliant half centuries to give Puneri a sensational start. But Ruturaj, who recently got married, was in some other mood. He wreaked havoc on Tuskers' bowlers and belted them all around the park. He took just 22 balls to notch his fifty. He went on to score a blistering 27-ball 64 which was well decorated with five big sixes and as many fours.

Here's the video of five stunning sixes which Gaikwad launched during his lightning knock…

Gaikwad, who was roped in by Pune-based franchise for INR 14.8 crore, found a perfect partner in Pawan Shah, who also struck an impressive 57 off 48 balls to help Puneri chase down the total with 29 balls and eight wickets to spare.

Gaikwad also caught everyone's attention by wearing his wife Utkarsha Pawar's jersey number. The Pune-based batter, who generally dons jersey number 31 was seen wearing no. 13 on his back.

Gaikwad had brilliant run with the willow in the IPL 2023 for CSK who lifted their fifth title in the glitzy league. Post the conclusion of IPL 2023, Gaikwad tied the knot with Utkarsha. He was also selected in India's squad for the just concluded World Test Championship (WTC) Final which Rohit Sharma's brigade ended up losing to Australia by 209 runs. But Gaikwad has to pull out of the ultimate clash to get married.

As far as MPL is concerned, the T20 league got underway on June 15 where six teams are crossing swords with each other for the coveted trophy.
