Abhishek Sharma-led Agri Kings Knights pulled off a thrilling one-run win against Intersoft Titans in their Sher-E-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 match on June 17, Sunday. After failing to chip in with the bat Abhishek Sharma led from the front and bowled a superb spell of 2/15 to help Agri Kings Knights successfully defend a total of 176/8.

Abhishek Sharma, who dazzled with his explosive batting for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024, led his team to a stu victory in the second season of the ongoing Sher-e-Punjab League in Punjab. Siddarth Kaul, a star pacer who has played for Team India, shone with a brilliant fifer for took five wickets for Intersoft Titans but his efforts went in vain. However, Kaul's team needed 12 runs from the last 6 balls to win the 177-run chase, but Abhishek's captaincy led Agri Kings Knights to a thrilling one-run victory.
Siddarth Kaul wreaks havoc in losing cause
Siddarth Kaul put on a fiery bowling display against Agri Kings Knights. Kaul's lethal bowling had reduced Agri Kings Knights to 71/3. But Mandeep Singh took charge and played a crucial knock of 57 runs off 40 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from him, Madhav Pathania also chipped in with a valuable 31 not out off 20 balls, hitting 1 four and 2 sixes. This helped Agri Kings Knights post a total of 176 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Intersoft Titans lose in a nail-biting finish
Chasing a target of 177 runs, Intersoft Titans opener Pushkaraj Man played a crucial knock of 62 runs off 42 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes. Anil Yadav also contributed with with a valuable 36 runs off 25 balls, hitting three fours and a six to help Titans reach 151/. However, captain Vishwapratap Singh could not do much and could only manage 3 runs to leave Titans reeling. However, Gitansh Khera and No. 9 batsman Krishna Ashwini Bhagat stood ground till the end when Titans needed 12 runs in the last over to win. Despite putting on a fightback, they could only score 10 runs in the last over and lost the match by one run. For Titans, Gitansh scored 41 runs off 25 balls with three fours and a six, but his run-out led to the team's collapse and they could only manage 175/9 wickets in their stipulated 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma and Ashwini Kumar shone with the ball for winner with took wickets each.
