Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced Sri Lanka Cricket XI squad for the three-day practice game against Shubman Gill-led India in Colombo. Sonal Dinusha will lead the squad in the warm-up fixture which begins on August 7 at the NCC Grounds.
As many as seven players from the Test squad that toured Sri Lanka are part of the Sri Lanka XI. Most of prominent Sri Lankan names are busy playing in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026. SLC is yet to name their Test squad for the two-Test series against India.

Nishan Madushka, Ravindu Rashantha, Pasindu Sooriyabandara, Pavan Rathnayake, Ahan Wickramasinghe, Sonal Dinusha (captain), Anjala Bandara (wicketkeeper), Nipun Dananjaya, Lahiru Kumara, Vishwa Fernando, Asanka Manoj, Isitha Wijesundara, Ramesh Mendis, Kesara Nuwantha, Dilum Sudeera.

SLC XI's squad includes Nuwantha who claimed a fifer against India A in the Galle game.Left-arm spinner Dilum Sudeera who bagged 10 wickets against India A including a fifer will feature in the game as well.
SLC XI captain's record
25-year-old Dinusha has played just three Tests for Sri Lanka. He made his Test debut last year against Bangladesh. He has six wickets to his name averaging nearly 50 and scored 186 runs from five innings, including a 92-run knock. He has 133 wickets including seven fifers in first-class cricket along with 3,698 runs featuring 11 tons, 19 fifties.

Shubman Gill (c), KL Rahul (vc), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant (wk), Sai Sudharsan*, Dhruv Jurel (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Manav Suthar, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar, Devdutt Padikkal, Saransh Jain, Auqib Nabi.
For India, Sai Sudharsan is unlikely to be available for the warm-up game. His participation is subject to fitness. In his absence, Devdutt Padikkal may bat at no.3. India's uncapped players Auqib Nabi and Saransh Jain are set to be in action in the warm-up fixture as well. The game can also mark the return of Ravindra Jadeja who hasn't played competitive cricket since the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
