Indian cricket team's star players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from the shortest format of game in International cricket following Men in Blue's historic win in the recently concluded edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 Final. Virat Kohli's beautiful gesture towards Rohit Sharma
In a video which is posted by a five-time IPL-winning franchise Mumbai Indians, Virat Kohli can be seen approaching Indian captain Rohit Sharma who was sitting on the corner of the bus, and asking him to click a picture with him and the trophy. It appeared as if Rohit was shying away from it early as it had been a really tiring day and was catching some rest but Virat constantly urged him and convinced him for the picture which later became a really iconic click. The video is now going viral all over the internet at a rapid pace.

BCCI wants to give Rohit, Virat, and Bumrah rest
Earlier, it was expected that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah would be making their much-awaited return with the Sri Lanka tour but now as per reports, BCCI wants these senior players to have more rest before the Bangladesh Test series, and the long red-ball season ahead. Newly appointed Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir will also be starting his tenure with the Indian team with the Sri Lanka tour. Sports Tak learned that Gambhir wanted to join the team from the Zimbabwe tour itself but was asked to wait till the SL series by top officials from BCCI.
