England's legendary bowler Stuart Broad has revisited one of the most humiliating moments of his cricketing career. In a humorous reflection, Broad recalled the infamous incident in the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa when he was hit for six consecutive sixes by India's Yuvraj Singh.

Stuart Broad reflects on Yuvraj Singh's six-sixes nightmare

While watching highlights of the over on Sky Sports, Stuart Broad jokingly suggested that Yuvraj Singh could have hit seven sixes in a row if the umpire had correctly identified one of the deliveries as a no-ball. Broad's humorous comment added a playful element to the iconic moment in cricket history. Broad quipped that the umpire's oversight of a no-ball could have extended Yuvraj's record-breaking innings.

Faced with Yuvraj Singh's onslaught, Broad attempted a tactical change, switching his bowling angle from over the wicket to around the wicket for the fourth delivery. However, his strategy backfired as he delivered a full toss that Yuvraj dispatched over point for another six. Reflecting on the incident, Broad humorously suggested that the umpire might have incorrectly called the delivery a legal ball. Had the umpire deemed it a waist-high no-ball, Broad speculated that Yuvraj could have potentially hit a seventh six, extending his record-breaking feat.

"I've never watched that back, but I must admit, I got lucky to get away with a no ball," Broad told former England captain Michael Atherton on Sky Sports.

"It could've been seven sixes!" he further added.

Broad confessed that he had never watched the footage of the six sixes before.

"I've never watched it. So thank you for the opportunity 17 years on," he told Atherton.

Talking about that iconic match, India ended up securing a narrow 18-run victory against England despite notching a 200-plus target. Yuvraj Singh continued his impressive form, scoring a brilliant 70 runs off 30 balls against Australia in the semifinals, helping India win the inaugural T20 World Cup. Following the infamous incident with Yuvraj, Stuart Broad went on to achieve legendary status in Test cricket. He finished his Test career with an impressive 604 wickets from 167 matches. In limited-overs cricket, Broad played 56 T20Is, claiming 65 wickets, and 121 ODIs, where he scalped 178 wickets. He is now England's second-most capped Test player, trailing only James Anderson.
