The ICC has confirmed the match officials for the opening stages of the Super Eights in the T20 World Cup 2026 including India versus South Africa encounter. Rodney Tucker and Paul Reiffel have been appointed as the on-field umpires for the Group 2 opener between New Zealand and Pakistan, scheduled for Saturday in Colombo. They will be supported by Allahudien Paleker as the TV Umpire and Sam Nogajski as the fourth official.

The officiating schedule for Pakistan’s subsequent fixtures in Kandy has also been finalized. Sam Nogajski will pull double duty at the venue, standing alongside Nitin Menon for Pakistan’s clash with England on February 24, before joining Rodney Tucker on field for the February 28 encounter between Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Adrian Holdstock and Ahsan Raza will form a consistent partnership for two high-profile matches in Kandy. The duo is set to officiate England’s highly anticipated meeting with co-hosts Sri Lanka on February 22, as well as England's match against New Zealand five days later on February 27.
Rounding out the assignments for the Sri Lanka leg of the Super Eights, Allahudien Paleker and Asif Yaqoob will take charge of the field during the mid-week clash between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. That match is slated for February 25 in Colombo, marking a busy period for the tournament's elite panel of officials.
The ICC has announced the officiating panel for Group 1 of the Super Eight stage, which kicks off with a high-profile encounter between co-hosts India and South Africa on February 22. Richard Kettleborough and Chris Gaffaney will lead the on-field duties for this opening clash, supported by TV Umpire Alex Wharf and Fourth Umpire Chris Brown.

This core group of officials will remain prominent throughout India’s upcoming fixtures. Richard Kettleborough and Alex Wharf are scheduled to officiate India’s match against Zimbabwe on February 26, while Wharf will later join Chris Gaffaney in the middle for the final Super Eight match between India and the West Indies in Kolkata on March 1.
Meanwhile, an undefeated Zimbabwe side looks to carry their group-stage momentum into their match against the West Indies on February 23 in Mumbai. That fixture will be overseen by Richard Illingworth and Jayaraman Madanagopal. The West Indies will then face South Africa on February 26 under the supervision of Shahid Saikat and Kumar Dharmasena.
Dharmasena is also slated to partner with Richard Illingworth for the March 1 clash between South Africa and Zimbabwe. To ensure the smooth conduct of these high-stakes games, the ICC has appointed a veteran group of match referees, including Ranjan Madugalle, Andrew Pycroft, Richie Richardson, and Javagal Srinath, to share oversight duties across the Super Eight stage.
