Mitchell Marsh celebrated his comeback to Australia's Test XI with an explosive century on Day 1 of the Headingley Test on July 7 (Thursday). Around 12,500 kilometers away, Marsh's father Geoff and brother Shaun celebrated the Aussie all-rounder's emphatic comeback with screams, cheers and a little dance in Bali. In a video shared by Shaun Marsh on his Instagram story, the Marsh family can be seen screaming and hugging each other in delight while celebrating Mitchell's scintillating knock with the bat.

Marsh walked into Australia's playing XI after Cameron Green was ruled out of the Headingley Test with a minor hamstring strain. The right-handed batting all-rounder was underfire straight away after Mark Wood's steamy howitzers rattled the Baggy Greens' batting line-up. Marsh walked to bat when Australia were in a spot of bother having lost four wickets for just 85 runs on the board.
It could have easily not been Marsh's day had Joe Root completed a simple catch when the Aussie batter was batting at 12. But luck, which had evaded Marsh for the major part of his career, had switched sides for a change. After being gifted a second life, Marsh didn't need any further invitations to destroy England's bowling attack.
The lanky batter with explosive power went on to score 118 runs in as many deliveries. During his counter-attacking innings, Marsh pummeled 14 fours and four gigantic sixes. The way he cashed in on short deliveries from English quicks was the hallmark of Marsh's knock.
As a result of Marsh's individual heroics, the Baggy Greens managed to post a respectable total of 263 runs on the board. Wood, who made a comeback to Enngland's playing XI, finished with five wickets.
Marsh though was not done enthralling the onlookers. With the ball, the right-arm medium pacer found the outside edge of Zak Crawley's bat during the dying stages of the day and helped Australia restrict England to 68/3.Â
