India will host the inaugural ICC Womens Champions Trophy in 2027.
The ICC Womens Champions Trophy is set to debut in February 2027, and India has been chosen as the host country for this premier T20 tournament. Originally, the tournament was to be held in Sri Lanka, but hosting rights were moved to India due to ongoing cricket reforms in Sri Lanka as required by the ICC. The absence of Pakistan, who did not qualify, means there will be no India versus Pakistan match this time around, which is notable considering the rivalry’s significance in cricket.
