Baba Indrajith-led Tamil Nadu went on a record-breaking spree against Arunachal Pradesh in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. After posting the highest total of 506/2 in List A cricket history, they bundled out Arunachal Pradesh for a paltry 71 to win by a ultra-massive margin of 435 runs. This is by far the biggest win in List A cricket.

The previous biggest margin of win was 346 runs. In 1990, Somerset beat Devon by 346 runs. Chris Tavare-led Somerset posted 413/4 which was followed by Roland Lefebvre's seven-fer to bundle out Devon for 67.

In Vijay Hazare trophy, the biggest win was registered by Jharkhand in the previous season. Ishan Kishan-led Jharkhand beat Madhya Pradesh by 324 runs. Kishan top-scored with 173-run knock to help Jharkhand post 422/9. In reply, Madhya Pradesh got all out for 98 as Varun Aaron went on a rampage taking 6/37.

On November 21, M Siddarth registered a five-wicket haul to wrap up Arunachal Pradesh's innings in the 29th over. He conceded just 12 runs in 7.4 overs he bowled including two maiden overs. M Mohammed and Ragupathy Silambarasan took two wickets each whereas Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore took one wicket. Only three Arunachal Pradesh batters scored in double digits as they suffered an embarrassing defeat at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Earlier, Tamil Nadu's in-form opener Narayan Jagadeesan smashed record-breaking 277 runs from 141 balls. Jagadeesan broke Alistair Brown's record for highest individual score in List A cricket. Also, he shared a 416-run opening partnership with opener Sai Sudharsan, the highest in the history of One-Day cricket.

Jagadeesan missed on becoming the first triple centurion of the format but Tamil Nadu went on to post 506/2, the highest total in List A breaking England's record of 498 against Netherlands earlier this year. Also, the wicketkeeper-batter became the first List A batter to score centuries in five consecutive games.

Tamil Nadu are currently at the top of Elite Group C with five wins from six games and a net run rate of +3.157. Tamil Nadu are yet to lose a game in the tournament so far.
