India batting maestro Virat Kohli made his comeback in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, playing the first two matches of the tournament. However, after that, the chase master left the squad to spend time with his family, but there were speculations about whether he would represent Delhi again in the domestic one-day tournament.
Now, Cricbuzz reported that a top Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) official confirmed that Kohli, who played the first two VHT matches for Delhi on December 24 and 26 in Bengaluru, will return for the penultimate league match, to be played on January 6 against Railways at the KSCA ground in Alur. After that, he will join the Indian team for the three ODIs against New Zealand. On the other hand, Rohit, who also made his comeback in the domestic white-ball tournament, has confirmed that he is done with domestic duties for the season. His next assignment will be the upcoming ODI series.

Virat Kohli's performance in first two matches of VHT
Virat Kohli smashed 208 runs in his two outings for Delhi in VHT 2025-26, including a century in the opener clash against Andhra. Kohli's innings powered Delhi to back-to-back wins and saw him blitz to a landmark as the quickest to 16,000 List A runs.
