England white-ball captain Jos Buttler, who is currently playing for Lancashire in the T20 Blast competition, produced a moment of magic on July 2 (Sunday). In the match against Northamptonshire, the veteran English wicket-keeper displayed jaw-dropping athleticism and completed a stunning catch that left onlookers in a state of shock.

The moment transpired on the second ball of the third over during Northamptonshire innings when Luke Wood found the outside edge of Ricardo Vasconcelos's bat. After the ball kissed the edge, it flew at the speed of knots before Buttler plucked the cherry out of thin air. The 32-year-old displayed incredible agility and dived full length towards his left to complete an outrageous catch.

Meanwhile, Lancashire won the match by six wickets. Chasing a below-part target of 139 runs, Phil Salt played a fabulous knock of 74 not out in 51 balls to roll out a victory for Lancashire. In his pulverising knock, the right-handed England batter smacked five fours and four sixes. Buttler (11 runs off 11 balls) failed to make the same impact that he did with the wicket-keeping gloves. In his brief stay at the crease, the explosive batter did smack one four and as many sixes. Lancashire captain Liam Livingstone also faltered with the bat and just managed to score 11 runs off 15 balls.

Despite Buttler and Livingstone failing with the bat, Lancashire chased down the target without even breaking a sweat and with 20 balls to spare.

Earlier, Australia's Chris Lynn top-scored with the bat for Northamptonshire. The hard-hitting right-handed batter scored 35 runs off 25 balls with the help of two fours and as many sixes.

After the win, Lancashire took their points tally to 17 with eight victories in 14 matches played in the competition. Northamptonshire, on the flip side, need up losing their eighth match of the campaign.
