Watch: Shaheen Afridi tonks RCB spinner for four straight sixes in a losing cause in T20 Blast

Pakistan's star pacer Shaheen Afridi is one of the best fast bowlers currently playing international cricket. However, not many have seen his batting, a video of which has now gone viral. Shaheen hit not one or two but four sixes in an over of Michael Bracewell, who played for RCB in the IPL 2023 season. Despite it being in a losing cause, the video of the four sixes he hit in the T20 Blast match between Nottinghamshire and Worcestershire has now gone viral.

Michael Bracewell's Fifty

Winning the toss and choosing to bowl first proved to be the wrong decision for the home team, as it proved to be the masterstroke that the side needed to post a tough total to chase down.

Bracewell opened the batter with skipper Brett D'Oliveira, and the duo stitched a partnership of 98 runs in just 6.5 overs. Brett D'Oliveira went on to score 44 runs off 21 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Bracewell continued after his partner was dismissed, with 55 runs in 27 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes. Adam Hose came in at no. 5 and played an unbeaten innings of 51 runs in 27 balls with 3 fours and four sixes, taking the visitors to a total of 226 runs for 5 wickets.

Shaheen hit four sixes

Chasing Nottinghamshire's target of 227 runs, the side lost seven wickets for 126 runs. Opener Alex Hales returned to the pavilion after hitting 71 runs off 35 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes.

Shaheen came in to bat at number 9. In the 17th over of the innings, he hit four powerful sixes off Bracewell's four balls. However, he could not last long and went on to score 29 runs in 11 balls with one four and four sixes. Eventually, Nottinghamshire were reduced to 170 runs and had to face defeat by 56 runs.

While the video of Shaheen hitting sixes has also gone viral, was also a flop as he could take one wicket for 45 runs during his four-over spell.
