Legendary pacer James Anderson is now moments away from calling off a historic career. The English fast bowler once again shattered a massive record in his final match. He became the first-ever pacer in history to bowl 40000 balls in Test matches. He is the first-ever pacer to reach this milestone and the fourth overall to do so. 

 

Anderson shatters many records

 

England pacer James Anderson is already the highest wicket-taker in Test cricket. He now also became the fast bowler with the most wickets bowled in Test cricket and across all formats. He now has bowled 40000 balls in Test Cricket and 50000 balls across all formats. Anderson has run more than 800 km with his run-up alone in red-ball cricket.

England are in a really dominant position to secure a thumping victory in the first Test. After leaving West Indies in a state of bother at 79/6 in the second innings, the hosts hold a significant lead of 171 runs. Ben Stokes-led England got all out 371, setting a challenging target of 322. They are now just four wickets away from registering a big win and give James Anderson a perfect farewell.
