Grace Harris's innings was not just a game-changer; it also shattered the record for the highest individual score in the WBBL.

In a remarkable display of cricketing prowess, Australian batter and UP Warriorz star Grace Harris steered the Brisbane Heat to a commanding position in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL). On Sunday, October 22, Harris scored an incredible 136 runs from a mere 59 balls against the Perth Scorchers. Her solo brilliance was the highlight, especially as her teammates struggled with the bat, allowing Brisbane Heat to post a total of 229 runs.

Harris's innings was not just a game-changer; it also shattered the record for the highest individual score in the WBBL. This record was previously held jointly by Smriti Mandhana and Ashleigh Gardner.

A particular moment during her innings captured the essence of Harris's confident approach to the game. After breaking her bat in the 14th over, instead of opting for a replacement, she decided to continue with the damaged equipment. The stump microphone picked up her brief exchange with non-striker Bess Heath, where she remarked, "nah, stuff it. I'll hit it anyway."

True to her word, on the subsequent delivery, Harris struck the ball with such force that her bat's handle snapped off, sending it flying. This incident amused players and spectators alike.

The 30-year-old batter, who missed the recent T20I series against the West Indies, showcased her skills at the scenic venue, contributing to the second-highest team score in WBBL history. Harris's innings was peppered with 12 boundaries and 11 sixes, setting another WBBL record. She reached her century in just 48 balls.

This century marks Harris's third in the WBBL, making her one of only three cricketers to achieve this milestone, the others being Sydney Sixers' wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy and Perth Scorchers' captain Sophie Devine. Even after her bat broke during a powerful shot in the 14th over, Harris seamlessly transitioned to a new bat, continuing her boundary spree.
