WPL Auction 2023: Delhi Capitals break bank on Jemimah, Shafali and Meg Lanning; here's list of full squad

Delhi Capitals were all guns blazing in the action-packed Women's Premier League (WPL) auction on Monday (February 13) as they grabbed big guns in their squad. First they signed Jemimah Rodrigues, who won the match for India against Pakistan in the Women's T20 World Cup opener on Sunday as she was roped in for a whopping Rs 2.2 Crore. They didn't stop there as they went on to buy the services of India's Under-19 T20 World Cup-winning skipper Shafali Verma for Rs 2 Crore. Another big shots were Australia's star player Meg Lanning and South Africa's Marizanne Kapp who were signed for Rs. 1.1 Crore and Rs 1.5 crore.

Women's Premier League Format
1. Each team will play two matches against the other four teams. This means that the five teams will play 20 league games.
2. After the league matches, the 4th and 5th-placed sides will be eliminated. The top three teams will continue to fight for the title.
3. The team that tops the points table will directly qualify for the final.
4. Eliminator: There will be an eliminator match between the second and third-placed sides in the points table. The winning team will reach the final and clash with the table topper for the title.
