Both India and Pakistan have successfully secured their spots in the semi-finals of the ongoing edition of the Women's Asia Cup 2024 after dominating wins in their final Group game. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian women's cricket team was the only unbeaten team in Group A with one-sided wins over everyone including Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal respectively. They will now be going into the next stage of the tournament full of confidence and especially riding on this terrific form.
India remain unbeaten
The Women in Blue demonstrated a great and dominant performance in their massive 82-run win against Nepal in their final group game. They finished on top of their table with three consecutive wins and will now be going against the runner-up of the other group in the semi-final. However, Harmanpreet Kaur was not playing in the match, so Smriti Mandhana was given the captaincy for the final group game.

Shafali Verma was once again the pick with the bat as she scored an astonishing inning of 81 runs off just 48 balls. Apart from her knock, Jemimah Rodrigues also contributed well with the bat as she gave the team a nice finish and a good boost in the death overs with her 28-run knock off 15 balls.
The defending champions were put on a dominant performance with the ball as well. They managed to restrict Nepal to just 96/9 in 20 overs to win the match by a massive margin. Deepti Sharma was once again the star performer among the bowlers as she picked up three wickets in her four-over spell and was also highly economical as she only gave away 13 runs. Arundhati Reddy and Radha Yadav got two wickets each. Meanwhile, Renuka Thakur Singh got one.
How can India and Pakistan face each other again?
India managed to beat Pakistan during the opening game but if both teams manage to win their respective semi-final clashes, both teams will be able to face each other once again but this time in the Final of the tournament. The arch-rivals clash will only make the finale much more interesting.
