Manchester United are back to their best form after they beat Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday (February 26) night. Goals from Casemiro and then a Sven Botman own goal sealed a comprehensive win for the Red Devils, whose last triumph came when they won the Carabao Cup and the Europa League in 2017.

It was also a momentous occasion for the Red Devils' manager Erik Ten Hag, who was tasked with reviving the club's dying status.

The Dutchman, who usually has a power face before, during and after matches, could not hold back his joy as he was seen dancing with Brazilian winger Antony, and Argentine defending Lisandro Martinez, as captured by the club's social media team.

It is also important to note that the two players in the video with Ten Hag were young starters at Dutch giants AFC Ajax before they followed the disciplinarian to Old Trafford.

Antony has been hot and cold, scoring six goals and assisting three in all competitions this season. Meanwhile, Lisandro, who won the 2022 FIFA World Cup with Argentina in December, has been a rock in their backline alongside Raphael Varane, making Manchester United among the best teams in the world currently.

It was Manchester United's sixth League Cup triumph, third on the list behind only Liverpool (9) and Manchester City (8). It was orchestrated by Casemiro, who has been credited with having a transformative effect on United's defensive efforts this season.

Casemiro has scored four goals in his last 12 games in all competitions, one more than he managed across his previous 89 matches at the club level.

For Newcastle United, Botman became just the fourth player to score an own goal in an EFL Cup final. It was a tame effort to keep Rashford's strike out as the ball looped over the defender and the goalkeeper Loris Karius, to force an own goal.
