Mumbai City FC etched their name into the annals of history with a stunning 3-1 victory over Mohun Bagan SG to claim their second Indian Super League (ISL) title in a thrilling final at Salt Lake Stadium on April 4 (Saturday). The remarkable win was fueled by second-half heroics that overturned a deficit and ultimately subdued the home crowd in Kolkata.

The match kicked off with both teams displaying equal tenacity, matching each other's intensity in the early exchanges. Despite an evenly contested start, Mohun Bagan began to carve open opportunities, with their first significant threat coming in the 13th minute. However, their hopes were dashed as Tiri intervened decisively, intercepting a critical pass intended for Petratos and averting a potential goal.

Responding with vigor, Mumbai City FC quickly orchestrated an attack of their own. Jayesh Rane delivered a dangerous cross into the box, but the Mohun Bagan defense stood firm, clearing the imminent threat. As the half progressed, Mumbai's Chhangte became increasingly influential, narrowly missing the target in the 29th minute and striking the crossbar twice by the 39th minute, underscoring Mumbai's growing threat.
