Current La Liga champions Real Madrid suffered a shock 3-2 loss to minnows Rayo Vallecano after goals from Santi Comesana, Alvaro Garcia and Oscar Trejo cancelled out strikes from Luka Modric and Eder Militao and allowed their bitter rivals Barcelona to take a five-point lead at the top of the points table after their 2-1 win over Osasuna.
Adding to the joy for the Vallecano fans, whose team were playing in their home stadium Estadio de Vallecas, was that their team moved to eighth on the points table, above Villarreal, having won their last three matches. One particular fan was more ecstatic than the rest after a skied shot from Madrid's Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde went straight through the window and into his house!

It was a brilliantly placed shot if Valverde was aiming to shoot the ball into the window. Given the size of the stadiums in the smaller clubs of Spain, it is no surprise that some of the local fans prefer watching the match from the comfort of their apartment windows.
In the match, Trejo scored the winner with a contentious second-half penalty as Real Madrid missed the chance to return to the LaLiga summit. Carlo Ancelotti's side trail leaders Barcelona by five points, with the Blaugrana having played one match more than their bitter rivals.
Madrid next host Cadiz on Thursday in their last game before the World Cup break, while Rayo are at home to Celta Vigo on the same day.
