Story Highlights:

Gabriel Magalhães responded to criticism from Fabian Hürzeler after Arsenal FC were accused of time-wasting in their 1–0 win over Brighton.

The Gunners sit top of the Premier League table with 67 points, maintaining a seven-point lead over Manchester City.

Arsenal is going through a red-hot form in the ongoing season as they are leading the Premier League standings, and if they continue their momentum they might end their title drought. But with this form, they have faced serious criticism regarding their playstyle as the Gunners prefer a pragmatic approach towards the game.

Arsenal's criticism

After the Gunners' 1-0 win over Brighton in the Premier League, the Seagulls' coach Fabian Hurzeler lambasted Arsenal's game play.

Hurzeler claimed that Arsenal always use the time-wasting tactics. The German boss mentioned that Arsenal goalkeeper, David Raya, went down three times, which led players to conduct a team talk with Mikel Arteta.

Recently, Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes has hit back on Hurzeler's opinion, saying that the Gunners don't care about anyone's opinion. He also said that they will continue playing the same way as they found success because of this approach.

“We don’t really care about what he says. That is for the referee to decide on the pitch. If he wants to give a yellow card or not, he decides the time we take. We just have to do things the way we are doing and keep going,” said Gabriel Magalhaes.

Arsenal's comfortable position in Premier League

Currently, Arsenal sit at the top of the Premier League standings with 67 points in 30 games, where they managed to win 20, and lose 7. Till now, The Gunners maintained a healthy lead of seven points over second placed Manchester City.
