Lamine Yamal will miss FC Barcelona’s upcoming La Liga clash against Valencia, and the youngster is expected to be ruled out against Newcastle. While the news has left the Catalan fans clearly concerned, Flick has accused the Spanish football team of the injury. The German football manager, as per a report by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, said:

“Spain gave him painkillers, and even when they were winning, they made him play. This is not taking care of the players. I'm very sad about this”.

Romano, the Italian football journalist, also stated that Yamal might also miss Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League fixture against Newcastle. This comes following an international break where Yamal was part of Spain’s two World Cup qualifiers and provided three assists to his side’s 3-0 victory over Bulgaria and 6-0 victory over Turkey. For his club this season, the Spaniard has been impressive in all three games he has appeared in, netting two goals and two assists. Now that the young talent is injured for the upcoming clashes, this has left Flick and the fans in a major concern.

Flick, as per a report in Mundo Deportivo, Flick, expressing his frustration, said:

“He was already carrying discomfort, he didn’t train between games with the national team, and that’s not taking care of the players.”

Now that Yamal is suffering with pubic-related discomfort, Flick, as per the aforementioned source further said:
“He went to the national team with discomfort, didn’t train between matches, and still played a lot of minutes — 73 and 79 — in each game, despite the pain. That is not looking after players properly.” He also pointed criticism at the Spanish NT coach Luis de la Fuente, stating that the team have “the best players in the world in every position. Taking care of players is not handling things this way.”

It is to be seen if Yamal returns for the Champions League clash which is in huge doubt.
