Chelsea star midfielder Cole Palmer has opened up about the rumors regarding his future at the club. He dismissed rumors about a possible exit, saying he doesn't pay attention to them.
Cole Palmer to leave Chelsea?
Palmer smashed a hat-trick in the Blues' 3-1 win against Wolves at the Molineux in the Premier League on Saturday. He started the scoring in the 13th minute via a penalty, before smashing another from the spot in the 13th minute. He completed his hat-trick three minutes later. He did his famous 'Cold' celebration before putting his hands to his ears.
Following the game, the Chelsea midfielder was questioned about his future at the club and he answered:
“Everyone loves to chat rubbish, don't they? I don't pay too much attention to it. You see things. But I feel like I've come from a strong place anyway so I don't pay attention to it.”
Last month, some reports said that Palmer is considering his comeback to Manchester in the summer, linking him to Manchester United. The Englishman came through Manchester City's academy and made 41 outings for them, registering six goals and two assists.

Chelsea then signed Palmer in 2023, and he has contributed 51 goals and 31 assists in 114 matches for them.
Cole Palmer reflects on win vs Wolves
The Blues managed to keep 69% of possession against Wolves in their Premier League game on Saturday. They made 13 shots, with seven being on target, as compared to the hosts' eight shots, with three on target. Palmer shared his analysis of the game saying:
"It feels good to get three points and score some goals. It was a good one in difficult conditions today. As long as I can keep scoring hat-tricks, I’m happy. I think we did well in the first half. The second half was a bit flat, but, personally, it feels good to get back on the scoresheet. I don’t really pay attention to milestones, but when you see them, it’s nice."
Palmer has suffered multiple injuries this season and has made just 17 appearances across all competitions. Opening up about his struggles, the midfielder said:
"I’ve never been injured before in my career. This is something new to me, and I’m still finding out how to deal with it. It has been frustrating, I don’t feel like I’ve played a game this season fully fit. I’ve been going into games thinking, 'Can I do certain things? Can I not?' Overthinking it."
"The staff have been really good. I’ve been working closely with the physios on a day-to-day basis. They have all helped, and I’ll get through it. I’m not here to make excuses, and I’ll get over the injuries. I know what I can do when I’m fit, and hopefully I can get back to that soon. For now, I just manage it and get there," he added.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are fifth in the Premier League table, 13 points behind leaders Arsenal. They will face Leeds United at home on Tuesday, February 10.
