Cristiano Ronaldo is often regarded as one of the most hard working players in the sport, with his peak level of physical fitness. Many people take inspiration from the Portugal international, to become a top level athlete.
Cristiano feels frustrated with 'hard worker' tag?
Lately, people only talk about Ronaldo's mentality of never giving up even when everything seems over when they compare him with Lionel Messi.
Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has said that Cristiano does not like being only considered as a hard worker in the argument involving Lionel Messi.
Ferdinand believes that the Portuguese icon does not want to be remembered as a player who worked hard to stay physically and mentally fit.
"Some people say about (him) that (he has) had to work harder at it, and people respect that more. He takes that as an insult. He's like, 'You can't be me without the ability' and what he's saying is right. 'Don't try and make me like as a hard worker, I do work hard and there is no stone left unturned and I do everything to be the best, but you can't do what I do with a little bit of ability',said Ferdinand.
