Paris Saint-Germain defeated Toulouse 1-0.

The win extended the PSG’s unbeaten run this season.

Fabian Ruiz scored the winning goal for PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) continued their impressive form in Ligue 1 with a 1-0 victory over Toulouse on Saturday, further solidifying their lead at the top of the table. The match also extended the PSG’s unbeaten run this season, with the Parisians remaining invincible in the league.

PSG maintain unbeaten record in Ligue 1

PSG’s victory puts them at 56 points from 22 matches, maintaining a 10-point lead over second-placed Marseille. Toulouse, on the other hand, sit 10th with 27 points. With another strong performance, the Parisians keep their dominant position in the French top flight.

Throughout the first half, PSG created several opportunities but struggled to break Toulouse’s defense. Key players such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Lee Kang-in, Desire Doue, and Lucas Hernandez all came close, but the hosts managed to fend off their attempts, with Toulouse struggling to find their rhythm.

The breakthrough came just seven minutes after the interval. A header from Willian Pacho hit the crossbar, and the ball rebounded to Fabian Ruiz, who was quick to finish from close range, giving PSG the lead.

On the wings, it was hard to find space. We wanted to keep possession, we had chances, and in the end, one goal was enough, Ruiz commented after the match. No matter where I am playing, what I want is to keep competing and do my best.

Although PSG had several chances to extend their lead, including a brilliant save from substitute goalkeeper Kjetil Haug after Bradley Barcola’s shot, Toulouse’s defense held firm to prevent further goals. Despite the visitors’ dominance in possession and attacking play, the hosts struggled to create any meaningful chances of their own.

Luis Enrique reflects on the performance

PSG manager Luis Enrique praised his team’s competitive spirit despite the narrow win.

I always want more. I think the team was competitive, and we played a very interesting match, said the coach.

Although PSG have become the fourth French top-flight team to remain unbeaten in their first 22 league matches, Luis Enrique emphasized that going through the season undefeated is not one of the team's specific goals.

The objective is to win the league, if we can achieve that, it's perfect. There is no objective to remain undefeated, he stated.

PSG will return to action in the Champions League on Wednesday, facing Brest in the return leg of their 3-0 first-leg victory. With their focus firmly on securing the league title, PSG's pursuit of further success continues.
