Messi misses FC Barcelona and fans

The Qatar World Cup star also revealed that he misses “all those moments at Barca,” and the “affection of Barca fans is spectacular.”

Messi recently had a secret visit to Camp Nou on Sunday and posted an emotional message on Instagram, which has melted hearts. The FC Barcelona home stadium was a place where it all began, and the player stated that he would like to return to the stadium someday, but “not just to say goodbye.”

Messi wrote in his heartfelt Instagram post that Camp Nou is a place that has made him feel “the happiest person in the world a thousand times over.”

The former player of the club took a glimpse at the revamped stadium for the first time since his departure from Barca. The club legend posted a series of pictures of his homecoming to the place where he began his remarkable journey.

Messi had to leave the club in tears following the financial issues the club was induled with that time. After playing for his boyhood club, Newell’s Old Boys, for five years during his formative years, Messi joined the Spanish giants at the age of 13. Following his unforgettable journey with the La Liga side, the player had to leave for the Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, which was hard to watch for the fans.
