Real Madrid are set to face Manchester City for a do-or-die clash in the UEFA Champions League. It has been reported that the match against the Sky Blues would be a must-win game for Xabi Alonso. The Los Blancos’ boss has his job on the line and is on the verge of getting sacked if the Whites lose to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The 15-time UCL Champions have won only two games in their last six encounters and are coming off a 0-2 loss against Celta Vigo in La Liga. Ahead of the UCL clash, Guardiola has dropped a bizarre comment on Alonso, and here is what the City manager has said.

Guardiola was asked if he had a message for Alonso ahead of the clash. The Premier League manager said:

“Xabi Alonso should pee on his own. I won't pee for him.”

Guardiola, who has also managed FC Barcelona in the past, further said:

“You like that headline, right?"

The Spanish head coach went on to wish Alonso luck for the future. Alonso, the former Liverpool midfielder, is under pressure just months after his tenure at the club. There have also been speculations that many players are unhappy with the manager.

However, the players and the coach came forward to discuss the dressing room rumors and said they are all united as a team and are working towards winning games.

Bad news about Alonso’s side is that they will be without their full strength against City, with Kylian Mbappe in doubt. The La Liga side earlier stated that Eder Militao is out for more than two or three months, while Trent Arnold Alexander is already sidelined from the back line.
