Inter Miami have made an approach to sign Liga MX star German Berterame on a permanent contract after a request from Lionel Messi, according to reports. The Herons are in the process of making new signings after a successful 2025 season, and have yet to add any forwards.

Berterame has been a key performer for Monterrey in Liga MX, amassing 18 goals and providing four assists in 33 outings across all competitions in the 2025-26 season. The talented forward, a former Argentina U-17 international, will be interested to play in the 2026 FIFA World Cup for Mexico, and playing with Lionel Messi will help his cause.
