Story Highlights:

Mbappe joins an elite list of six players with 60+ Champions League goals, reaching it faster than Ronaldo.

The Frenchman now trails Raul’s 71 goals as he continues climbing the all-time UCL scoring charts.

Kylian Mbappe cruised past Cristiano Ronaldo's Champions League feat after scoring a hat-trick for Real Madrid against Kairat on Tuesday.

Mbappe delivered another masterclass, as Real Madrid put Kairat to the sword 5-0 in Kazakhstan to maintain their great start to the UCL campaign. The French forward opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 25th minute of the game from the spot after Franco Mastantuono was fouled in the box. He doubled his tally soon after halftime and completed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute.

With three goals against Kairat, Mbappe reached an exclusive list of six players who have produced 60 or more goals in Champions League history. While Mbappe is still on the 60-goal mark, he reached the milestone in less games than some players who have more goals in the competition, consisting of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Mbappe took only 89 games to reach this milestone, while Ronaldo needed 98 goals to reach the same amount of goals. The former Paris Saint-Germain players trails Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski, who reached the club in 80 and 85 matches, respectively.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo currently holds the record of registering most goals in the history of the Champions League, with 140. Lionel Messi stands at the second position with 129 goals. Robert Lewandowski has scored 129 goals, followed by Karim Benzema with 90 goals. Mbappe is closest to Real Madrid legend Raul, who amassed 71 goals throughout his time in the competition.

Raul required the most number of matches to reach 60 Champions League goals, achieving it in 115 games. Benzema followed needing 111 matches.
