Kylian Mbappe was the star of the night when he scored a hat-trick in seven minutes when Real Madrid went down to one during their 4-3 league phase win at Olympiacos. The French star levelled in the 22nd minute before he netted a second to put the 15-time champions ahead. The World Cup winner scored a hat-trick within 30 minutes of the first half and added his fourth in the second half.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old made an honest admission about head coach Xabi Alonso amid the ongoing tension in the Real Madrid locker room. Following the Los Blancos’ two draws across their last three games, reports surfaced that things were not going fine between the players and Alonso. It was also reported that several Real Madrid players were dissatisfied with the Spanish manager’s tactics and leadership.

Following the situation, this had fueled tension around the club, which resulted in Vinicius Jr. avoiding the renewal of his contract with the Spanish giants. Amid all this, Mbappe took the platform to speak on Alonso's situation following his poker masterclass.

Mbappe was asked about the locker-room tension after the match. The Real Madrid striker said that the team is “doing well,” however, “there are things to improve.” He continued:

“People talk a lot on the outside, but I think we as players have to protect each other, protect the coach and all the staff, because in the end we’re all in this together.”

Mbappe wants the fans to think they are all together and united to move in the same direction and win titles. He also said:

“I’m not going to say it’s us against the outside world, but we are united, together with all the Madridistas.”

Mbappe provides his support to Xabi Alonso

Mbappe’s message is clear. The France international has given his all support to the coach. He also believes that the players and the staff have to come together to solve the situation. The former PSG star stated that they are all “united” because nothing is perfect in life, especially after changing the project or the coach.

Mbappe, who began his football career with Monaco, while providing his full support to the coach, said:

“When you change projects or coaches, it’s normal for there to be changes, but I don’t think he deserves everything that’s happening right now.”

Mbappe also said that it has now become normal for everyone to talk about Real Madrid, and in the meantime, the players and the staff are working on making things easier. Meanwhile, the La Liga table toppers are fifth in the UCL table, following Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, PSG, and Arsenal at the top.
