Hamilton took over his Instagram account to show support for the Real Madrid winger. The seven-time F1 champion, as he shared Brasil’s post for the player, tagged Vinicius and wrote:
“We’re with you.”
The incident stems from Vinicius powering the Los Blancos in the second half with a stunning goal. This was overshadowed by the controversy as the Brazilian accused Prestianni, after which the match was halted for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that the Ferrari driver has stood up against racism. The F1 superstar previously spoke in favor of Vinicius back in 2023, when he was subject to racism in a La Liga game against Valencia. On the other hand, the UEFA is currently reviewing Tuesday night’s incident.
