Donald Trump revealed that his son Barron Trump is a huge fan of Lionel Messi.

This was Messi's first ever visit to the White House.

Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates paid a special visit to the White House and met United States President Donald Trump on Thursday, March 5.

Messi and co. received an invitation to the White House to celebrate their 2025 MLS Cup triumph. The Herons went to DC on Thursday ahead of a league game against D.C. United on Saturday.

As Messi was standing next to Donald Trump, the 79-year-old revealed that his son Barron is a huge fan of the Argentine player and admires his style of play.

"My son [Barron] said, 'Dad do you know who's gonna be there today?' I said no, I've got a lot of things going on. He said, 'Messi!' He's a big fan, he's a big fan of yours, he thinks you're just a great person, and I think you got to meet a little while ago,” said Trump.

 

 

Later, Trump said that his son Barron is a very big fan of Messi and Ronaldo.

“He's a big soccer fan but he's a tremendous fan of yours, and a gentleman named Ronaldo,” said Trump.

 

 

Lionel Messi's first visit to White House

Interestingly, this was Messi's first ever visit to the White House. Earlier, Messi could not manage to make it to the former President Joe Biden's invitation to be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
